UC History
The name “Unisphere” means global. Toronto is a global city and we want to support emerging businesses that tap into global talent and potential.
Unisphere Canada (UC) was founded in 2016, initially registered under the name of Universal Social Enterprise (USE) and in March, 2017, rebranded and registered with the federal and Ontario governments as Unisphere Canada (UC). Unisphere Canada began to provide support on a small scale in 2016.
Since then, Unisphere Canada started to plan its first pilot project “Saving Box Model” promoting our goal of creating income generation and increasing the number of local businesses in the most vulnerable communities. The pilot project will support community members who are interested in developing a small start-up business. This pilot project will enable individuals and newcomers with no credit history to gain access to knowledge, skills, support and grants. It will also work to create relationships between emerging local businesses and the support available in the community.
