Entrepreneurship Support Program

Unisphere Canada (UC) uses a community development approach. Through our community and economic development initiatives in St. Jamestown Thorncliffe, Crescent, and Flemingdon Park. We work to enhance the capacity of our community members and animate the neighbourhood. We support, train and link them to our partners and events in the community that can promote the development of their business.

UC is working with individuals and groups who are seeking advice and technical support to start or develop a small business. We are also working with partner organizations to connect these entrepreneurs with small no-interest business loans, as well as basic training and food handling certification.

UC also facilitates funds for entrepreneurs in collaboration with our partners. We also facilitate access to low-interest micro-loans with our partners to help entrepreneurs launch or expand a small business. In addition, we help our members develop their financial skills, business planning and/or obtain certification in order to get a better job.

Under the program, we provide the following services:

• Mentorship Support

Online Trainings:

• UC will provide basic business start-up skills and knowledge training to community members through workshops.
• Unisphere is also dedicated to continuous learning whereby all individuals are encouraged to share their knowledge and skills to enhance their own and each other’s abilities.
• Members will contribute to the planning and delivery of the training programs. Currently, all our training are workshops are offered online due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
